God’s call upon my life for full-time ministry really came clear to me as a junior at a state college in Pennsylvania. I followed His call and received my ministry training at North Central University. Lydia and I got married after my first year of college. I graduated with a BA degree in Youth Ministry and a minor in Bible in 1998. Received my license to preach with the Assemblies of God in May of 1998. My first staff position was as a Youth Pastor at Spirit of Life Church in New Prague, Minnesota. I served there until 2002 when Lydia and I moved to Wooster, upon my receiving a youth pastor position at Evangel Assembly. We left Evangel in 2003, frustrated, confused and broken before the Lord. We continued to seek His face and will for our lives, while working in the community.
God led us to Wooster Church of the Nazarene in the winter of 2003. From then until now it is like God has taken Lydia and I back to school – but this time no text books, quizzes or tests…at least on paper. The classroom was fellowship with Him and His family and the lessons were issues of the heart: His love; Grace; Freedom; Healing; True Worship; and a spirit-led life. God opened doors for me to serve here at Wooster Church of the Nazarene in 2007 and I couldn’t be more thankful to Him for His goodness and grace to my family.
I love the leadership. I love their humble hearts and unity. I love our call to be a community of believers called to W.O.R.S.H.I.P. I love the freedom to grow in Christ and serve Christ out of love for our Father – guilt and obligation free. I love the acceptance and love for every person from all walks of life, from various backgrounds and all at different places in our journey and walk with the Lord.
